VISION STATEMENT

A church must be structured around a vision statement which expresses the community's central, strategic intentions in clear word pictures. Six images reflect key aspects of a harbor's purpose:

Beckon: Pilot boats guiding storm-tossed ships into a harbor of peace—we invite people to anchor their lives in relationship with Jesus Christ.

Enfold: Each ship is intentionally made to know they have found a safe, "home port."

Restore: A ship in dry dock being repaired, scraped and painted for future voyages—we are a place where worn and damaged lives can find deep healing.

Equip: A ship being loaded and rigged for a voyage—we train people for success in many aspects of life so they can bring glory to God and serve a needy world.

Anoint: The wind of God's spirit "fills our sails" and empowers our life journey.

Launch: A ship under full sail leaving the harbor—we exist to launch and support whole, well-equipped people on their unique life voyages.

It is our desire to birth and nurture a Christian community that measures success not by its seating capacity, but by its sending capacity!
